Sant Llorenc des Cardassar – After the heavy storm in Mallorca with at least ten dead and two Germans are missing. Rescue workers also continued to search for a five-year-old boy who had been missing since Tuesday's torrential rain, as the Mallorcan emergency service reported on Twitter Thursday morning. The Spanish television reported that the Germans were a married couple who had been reported missing on Wednesday evening.

"Swam for survival" – dead and chaos in bad weather

Of the floods and mud masses, especially the eastern part of the Balearic island was affected, especially the town of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Within just two hours, more than 230 liters of water had fallen from the sky, according to the weather service. Roads turned into raging rivers.
The dead recovered so far are six men and four women, according to the forces. Three of the victims are foreigners – a couple from the UK and a Dutchwoman. A man has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile, on the Balearic island, the cleanup started. The Mallorcan tennis world star Rafael Nadal also joined forces to help his compatriots. Shortly after the disaster, he had opened his sports facility "Rafa Nadal Academy" in Manacor for people who could not sleep in their homes. On pictures can be seen how the 32-year-old also freed a rubber-work boots and work gloves together with other volunteers, a car repair shop with a broom of mud.
